When does Moon Knight take place on the Marvel timeline?

So, when does Moon Knight take place on the Marvel timeline, anyway? That’s a very good question. After all, half the fun of these MCU stories is piecing together how they all connect. In that respect, Moon Knight hasn’t been too forthcoming with the answers so far.

But there is an answer – it’s been hiding in plain sight in one of Moon Knight’s recent episodes and on Disney Plus itself. Let’s fill you in on all the details, including where Moon Knight fits on the Marvel timeline, and which movies and shows it comes after.

When does Moon Knight take place on the Marvel timeline?

Moon Knight takes place post-Avengers: Endgame in around 2025.

There have been a couple pieces of evidence that point to that. One was Moon Knight’s third episode, which revealed a banner advert for the Global Repatriation Council – the group designed to help those who returned after being ‘dusted’ – on the side of a London bus (H/T Inverse (opens in new tab)). They were introduced in Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which took place in 2023 and 2024.

Disney Plus, though, has the official answer: Moon Knight takes place after Hawkeye in its playlist of Marvel shows and movies in timeline order. Hawkeye took place over Christmas in 2024. That means Moon Knight lands in the MCU in either very, very late 2024 or, more than likely, 2025. For reference, here’s what that current slice of Marvel looks like in terms of dates.
