4K 120Hz TV Black Friday deals aren’t gone yet, although time is ticking on if you want to snag a saving.

If you’ve recently got yourself a PS5 or Xbox Series X, then you should be looking to see if you could also land a 4K/120hz screen. The reason is that these screens offer you the best possible way to play new-gen games, with the sharpest picture and smoothest gameplay thanks to the refresh rate that can handle games at 120fps.

And if you don’t fancy going all out on some of the models that are over a grand, there are also some great deals still to be had that are under $1,000 – and even $650 in some cases – which has typically been the lowest price you could expect for a 4K 120Hz TV. These include the Sony 43″ X85J down to just $649.99 (was $750) (opens in new tab) for a smaller gaming set up, or the LG 75″ NanoCell with a huge reduction to just $996.99 (from $1,800!) (opens in new tab) if you want to fill a much bigger space while saving over $800. For UK readers, there’s also the Samsung 55″ Q80A QLED for only £789.00 (was £1399) at Box.com (opens in new tab).

So, what stands these screens out from others? Well, the main factor is the HDMI 2.1 connection they’re fitted with, which provide the high-speed bandwidth between your device and the display to maintain a slick 120Hz (or frames per second) refresh rate while still generating images in full 4K splendour. This type of connection is gradually becoming the norm, and is essential for a screen to count as one of the best 4K 120Hz TVs available.

We’re already seeing games such as Rocket League, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and more support 4K 120Hz output and, with recent advances in TV tech, the 4K 120Hz TV Black Friday deals still available now are hitting a sweet spot this year of being more affordable and having more options to choose from.

Considering that the tech is still relatively new, not every best TV for PS5 and Xbox Series X will have this spec right now – you can still get some absolute corkers that remain locked at the 60Hz refresh rate – but considering this type of TV will soon become the default for the best gaming TVs, it makes sense to prioritize this set of features if you’re upgrading.

But remember, there are loads of different types of deals on displays this year, with some of the best coming in the Black Friday PS5 TV deals, as well as the broader Black Friday PS5 deals and Black Friday Xbox Series X deals.
