There are a variety of ways to collect and obtain Animal Crossing: New Horizons cooking recipes. Here’s what we’ve found so far:

  • Nook Miles – Buy the ‘Be a Chef! DIY Recipes+’ upgrade to unlock the ability to cook, but also a load of recipes to get you started
  • The cupboard at Nook’s Cranny – Buy the Basic Cooking Recipes pack for a selection of starter menus
  • Villager gifts – Rumor has it that you can be gifted cooking recipes as they would normal recipes. We’ve not yet been able to verify this ourselves
  • Messages in a bottle – Check your bottle on the beach each day, as these can now contain cooking recipes too
  • Kapp’n Islands – You can find both crops and cooking recipes on random Kapp’n islands
  • Fishing – You can find fish-related recipes simply by fishing up different species
