The Black Friday PS5 deals are still available! Even though the day itself has passed, the deals wagon is still rolling on through the weekend, so you can still pick up games, accessories, headsets, and much more to take your PS5 to the next level. Some of the best deals have been in the storage category, so head on over to our Black Friday PS5 SSD deals page if you’re after any kind of storage solution from a shiny new internal drive, to a solid and reliable external unit.

Some of the hottest Black Friday PS5 deals that are still running feature some historic price cuts, too: the biggest hitting one being the brand new heatsink variant of the Samsung 980 PRO SSD, which has dropped to $199.99 (opens in new tab) at Amazon, down from $250. You can also still get 33% off a 12-month PS Plus subscription (down to just $39.99 (opens in new tab)), and go online again or stack another year on top of whatever you have now for a great price. And if you’re looking for a game for the holidays then Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is perfect and is just $19.99 (opens in new tab) right now. That is a hell of a deal.

UK-side, the Black Friday PS5 deals are still going too. There are savings on our top PS5 headset of 2021 – the Turtle Beach Recon 500 is now just £43.99 (opens in new tab) – and also on excellent PS5-ready TVs and the best PS5 games. This LG C1 TV – one of the very best for gaming – is at a tempting just £1,115 (opens in new tab), which is a huge £620 saving, for example. And if you’re looking for an absolute beast of a quality headset then picking up the Astro A50 wireless headset for its lowest ever price of £199.99 (opens in new tab) is an excellent proposition.

Given the net is so wide, the black Friday PS5 deals still running are likely to be some of the best and most ‘permanent’ over the weekend and into Cyber Monday. We’ll keep topping this page up with those that come back, or come in anew, offering price cuts on the best PS5 setup-enhancing stuff, so keep checking back if you’re looking for something in particular.

How much will the PS5 cost on Black Friday?

The PS5 prices on Black Friday certainly won’t be any cheaper than their standard prices. Since launch last year, PS5 stock has sold out within minutes every time it’s appeared, so there’s zero chance of any discounts for the consoles and probably bundles too.

Do lookout for some stores and third-party scalpers overcharging for the base console. The standard PS5 should be no more than $499/£449 and the PS5 Digital Edition is $399/£359. If you’re paying more, it should only be if you’re getting extra items like accessories and games. Do make sure those items haven’t had their prices over-inflated for a stealthy rip-off too. Large PS5 bundles are almost certainly going to appear at GameStop (US) and Game (UK) and we expect a lot of stores that don’t bother usually both will come up with some to boost their profit margins on Black Friday too.

Black Friday PS5 deals: SSDs (internal)

Seagate FireCuda 530

SSDs are likely to play a massive role in this year’s Black Friday PS5 deals. Models like the Samsung 980 Pro and WD Black SN850 are already taking some excellent discounts ahead of the sales period, and these sticks are where we’re expecting to see some of the most valuable discounts. We’d recommend keeping an eye on these brands in particular, but also watching Crucial and Gigabyte’s prices as well. We’re showing you everything you can expect from this year’s Black Friday PS5 SSD deals right here for more information.

Want to know more about your options? Then take a look at our dedicated best PS5 SSD guide, for the lowdown before you buy. In short, though, you need to make sure it includes or meets the following criteria:

  • Interface: PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 NVMe SSD
  • Capacity: 250GB – 4TB
  • Sequential read speed: 5500 MB/s or faster
  • Module width: 22mm (25mm modules are not supported)
  • Socket type: Socket 3 (Key M)
  • Total size including cooling must be smaller than 110mm (L) x 25mm (W) x 11.25mm (H)

You also need to attach a cooling structure like a heatsink (or buy one built-in).

OK, that’s a more complicated set of limitations than we were expecting, but fear not. Any SSDs we highlight during the Black Friday PS5 sales will be checked by our team to ensure they are indeed PS5-compatible so you can buy one that’ll be a good fit.

Black Friday PS5 deals: external SSDs

WD_Black P50

Important note: External SSDs can not be used to run/play PS5 games directly. Instead, they’re used to store your PS5 games and can be transferred quickly back and forth to free up space on your internal drive. This is much quicker than redownloading them over and over.

You can play PS4 games from external drives though, and it does help improve their loading times. On many of them, we find it matches the loading speeds of the same titles being played directly on the PS5. This means they’re pricier than regular external hard drives (HDDs), but we’ll be pulling together loads of the best SSD deals in the Black Friday PS5 deals event as we’re all in the market for one after all too!

Black Friday PS5 deals: headsets

Turtle Beach Recon 500

Over on our guide to the best PS5 headsets we’ve highlighted the finest options from a wide range of brands across various budgets so there’s something for everyone. We expect Black Friday gaming headset deals to be a big thing again this year and many of the best PS5 ones will almost certainly be available for less.

You’ll find the cheapest prices available right now in our comparison chart below on some of our all-time favorite models. Given the huge choice available out there, we often find most of them are getting regular discounts throughout the year, so there might not be any real need to wait until the Black Friday PS5 sales officially begin in order to get a fantastic piece of kit today.

ps5 controller

Black Friday PS5 deals: controllers

Sony took its sweet time, but you can finally get the DualSense PS5 controller in some new colors. In addition to the basic white one, it’s now available in Cosmic Red and Midnight Black.

And as things stand, these are the only controllers that will work for PS5 games. Older models will work for PS4 games, but there aren’t any third-party options yet for the PS5 itself. This could of course change by the time Black Friday comes along though. We’re looking at you, Nacon and Razer. For now though, here are the best prices for the Sony DualSense.

Black Friday PS5 deals: PlayStation Plus

PlayStation Plus deals are something to be on the lookout throughout the year. You don’t have to wait for your subscription to run out before activating a code for a new one either as subs will stack on top of each other. Black Friday PS5 shoppers would do well to pick up a sub as they allow you to play games online, provide free games each month and unlock exclusive discounts on the PSN store.

Black Friday PS5 deals: charging docks

Your old PS4 docks won’t work, but PS5 DualSense controller docks aren’t very expensive. We expect a few deals around Black Friday, especially on the third-party ones from the likes of Fosman as they’re discounted on a regular basis anyway. The official Sony one often sells out, so if it’s on someone’s Christmas list, it might be wise to pick it up sooner rather than later as we wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t get a discount any time soon.

Remember, there’s going to be loads of sales around Sony’s console this year – even if the console doesn’t get a price cut itself. It’s definitely worth paying attention to the Black Friday PS5 headset deals, the Black Friday PS5 TV deals, the Black Friday PS5 monitor deals, and we have a suspicion that the Black Friday PS5 SSD deals are going to be the hottest tomatoes in town.

Away from the PS5, we’re expecting loads of the best gaming items to feature too so be sure to check out our other guides on the best Black Friday headsets, Black Friday gaming chair deals, and Black Friday laptop deals. The Black Friday Lego deals will be ones to watch too, especially ahead of Christmas.
