Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 release schedule: when is episode 6 airing?

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 6 isn’t in its usual slot. Thanks to a mixture of a hiatus and the decision to air recap episodes, we’ll have to wait a few weeks to see what the next arc of the hit anime looks like.

Given how the series has only just returned, we imagine that could be pretty confusing. With that in mind, we’ve got the Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 6 release date. That also includes streaming times in the US and UK on Crunchyroll, as well as all the info about the upcoming breaks and recaps in August.

The Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 6 release date is August 31. It will be available on Crunchyroll from 10:00 AM Pacific/1:00 PM Eastern. That’s 6:00 PM BST in the UK.

Yes, that’s several weeks away and not on its usual slot on Thursdays. Instead, two recap episodes are airing on August 10 and August 17. Then the show is going on a one-week break.

A dub is currently available, but lagging two weeks behind the simulcast. It thankfully should catch up in the coming weeks with the break, so you can expect the English language version of the new episode to drop either on August 31 or in early September.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is expected to last 23 episodes, with official confirmation that the story will be told over “two consecutive cours.”

The first cour covered the manga’s Gojo’s Past chapters across five episodes as part of the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc. The series is currently on a brief break, airing a Jujutsu Kaisen 0 recap on August 10, a season one recap on August 17. It’ll then going on a one-week hiatus on August 24.

The Shibuya Incident, and the rest of season 2, will begin on August 31 and will likely consist of 18 episodes.

If the season airs (relatively) uninterrupted, it will go from July 2023 to December 2023. The current release schedule looks like this:

  • Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 1: July 6, 2023 – available now!

  • Jujutsu Kaisen 0 recap: August 10, 2023
